This policy belongs with the privacy statement and describes what is stored on your device when you visit our website.
What we mean by a cookie
A cookie is a small file a website leaves on your device. We use the word more broadly here, for everything written to your device and read back later, which includes the storage your browser offers under the name local storage. The rule is the same for both: whatever is not strictly needed to make the website work happens only after you allowed it.
What is stored without your consent
One thing, and it is your answer to the question itself.

Without it we would have to ask you again on every page. It holds nothing but your answer, and it goes nowhere.
What is added once you consent
If you accept the statistics, PostHog places storage on your device so that repeat visits can be counted as one visit.

We use it to see which pages are viewed, in what order, on what kind of device and from which referring source, and to tell which pages do their work and which do not.
PostHog runs for us on servers in Frankfurt and does not take that data outside the European Economic Area. We do not sell it and we do not use it to show you advertising.
What is not here
We use no advertising cookies, no social media cookies and no third-party cookies to follow you across other websites. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are not active on this website. Were we ever to enable them, this policy would be updated and your consent asked again first.
Changing your answer
If you refuse, the website keeps working in full; only the measurement falls away.
To revisit an earlier answer, clear this website's storage in your browser. The question returns on your next visit. In most browsers that sits under the settings for privacy or for website data. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies generally or to warn you each time.
